CALL FOR PAPERS „20 Years Austria in the European Social Survey”

The European Social Survey (ESS) was established against a background of poor availability of academically rigorous cross-national data, in particular in regard to attitudes, beliefs and values. As Europe faces grand societal challenges including immigration, changing family and relationship arrangements, climate change, welfare reform, declining political trust, increased populism and persistent health inequalities (amongst others), the European Social Survey is providing robust data that illuminates changes and stability in the social fabric of Europe. Over time motivating more than 3,000 publications, the ESS has already established itself as a critical pillar of the European Research Area.

Austria participated in the ESS from the beginning and wants to celebrate the 20th anniversary in the ESS with an edited volume titled „20 Years Austria in the European Social Survey”. Therefore, the Austrian National Coordinator issues a call for paper and invites articles for an edited book.

Objective of the edited volume

The main aim of the edited book is to present the scientific range and progress research from Austrian scientists or scientists affiliated with Austrian scientific institutions achieved.
