The Austrian Political Science Association – ÖGPW for short – was founded in 1970 and currently has around 500 members: students, graduates, and university lecturers in political science, as well as representatives of non-university social science research and interested parties from a wide range of social sectors. The ÖGPW is also the publisher of the Austrian Journal of Political Science (ÖZP), which is listed in the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI).

Events
jährliche Konferenz “Tag der Politikwissenschaft”, alle 2-3 Jahre “Dreiländertagung” in Kooperation mit der DVPW und der SVPW, Veranstaltungen der Sektionen, Workshops uvm.We host a range of events in Austria including our annual conference “Day of Political Science”, as well as regular workshops, and public lectures. In addition, every 2-3 years we co-host the “Three-Country Conference” in cooperation with the German Political Science Association (GPSA) and the Swiss Political Science Association (SVPW/ASSP)
